EMDR & Somatic Therapy

Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing Therapy is a research-backed method of trauma healing that seeks to reduce the impact of traumatic memories and address limiting core beliefs developed as a result of traumatic experiences.  Somatic therapy seeks to target and address the ways trauma is stored in the body.  The combination of these two methods provides effective healing and management for complex trauma.

Mindfulness

Dialectical Behavioral Therapy

DBT blends mindfulness techniques with cognitive tools to help clients build mindfulness, emotional regulation, distress tolerance, and interpersonal effectiveness.  These techniques improve clients' ability to manage moods and relationships.

Internal Family Systems

Not to be confused with family therapy, IFS is an individual therapy technique that pursues healing by focusing on a person's relationship with themself.  This technique can build alignment between self and parts of us that feel conflicted, often parts that developed to try and protect us from past harm but may now feel like they are getting in our way.

Queer & Trans Identities

Queer and trans people face systemic challenges and oppression on an intersectional basis that can impact our mental health.  Unpacking internalized queerphobia and transphobia and exploring our identities and relationships without judgment can help us build healthier, more fulfilling lives and relationships.

Non-Monogamy & Alternative Relationships

From Polyamory to Ethical Non-Monogamy to Relationship Anarchy, the world of alternative relationships can be both fulfilling and challenging.  Much of traditional relationship guidance is developed with monogamy and heteronormativity in mind, and as an individual, couple, throuple, or polycule, clients can benefit from learning attachment-based relationships skills that honor their unique relationship models.
